• This was my first time going to yoga I’m a while. I was feeling self conscious about going because I am not that strong or flexible ( yet anyway!). The studio had a nice atmosphere and I felt super comfortable. The instructor guided the session so that all levels could participate. I liked how she was hands on and helped correct my posture to make sure I was getting the most out of it. It was very helpful especially since I was new and I didn’t feel like she was “judging me” because I could barely touchy toes! :-) the price was also reasonable. I am a student on a limited budget and while I’ve been really wanting to try yoga I haven’t been able to. Overall, I had a great experience… I’ll be back with a friend! – Yoga Garden Narberth (on the Main Line)

He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, spiritual and compassionate. The class is physically demanding with a focus on form. Mark uses yoga to explore life; I enjoy his commentary about yoga and life lessons. I like the physical studio, itself. • My fiancee and I both were first-timers to the Yoga Garden and are both new to yoga. The staff were very warm in their welcome and there was a good community feel to Yoga Garden. I like the fact that the class had both men and women of all different ages. Additionally, the atmosphere seemed to be truly centered upon the practice of yoga and the comfort of participants regardless of their degree of expertise. The instructor (Ali) was careful in her language as she instructed and said ‘maybe’ or ‘if comfortable’ when suggesting that class members explore a further stretch or extension of a pose. Rates seem reasonable. – Yoga Garden Narberth (on the Mainline)

• The heart, spirit, and thought that Mark puts into his gentle classes create the spiritual, emotional, and practical guidance I am looking for to help get me through the week (and life!) with a more gentle, adaptive flow. The rooms and entire studio, from gentle fountain and pain colors of the stairs, to the private bathrooms, to the green plants and tea lights of the room create an inviting environment. I feel at peace there, in a way I have not found in other yoga studios in the area. – Yoga Garden Narberth (on the Mainline)

• I only took one class. I enjoyed Mark’s teaching, the speed with which it was conducted and the fact, that even though it was a large class, he came by to adjust my position several times. • Your instructors are fantastic! Knowledgeable, welcoming, accommodating, personable, etc. I haven’t had a bad experience with any instructor working there. There’s something to be said about both sweating your ass off but having a chuckle in there once in awhile. When I first came to Yoga Garden, I was puzzled by the mixing of “All-Levels classes” and wondered why there weren’t regular “beginner” classes (aside from the periodic, beginner series). But now I understand that a person’s practice is so individualized; it doesn’t matter what the person next to me is doing, how flexible he/she is, etc., the point is to focus on YOUR practice. Knowing that now, I love the idea of all-levels. It takes a lot of focus and being present NOT to do what someone else is doing, and what better way to introduce that aspect of yoga than to have all-levels classes. I think it’s a brilliant idea. Thanks for proving me wrong! :)

I love the available times of classes; fitting into something that works for everyone. Not only that, but I like the variety here at Yoga Garden. Although I’m a beginner and haven’t attended any yet, I have noticed the different workshops available to students. I think that’s a great idea; to keep people fresh and get them trying new limits.

The space is clean, modest, yet inviting. The lighting is wonderful! No fluorescent bulbs here (thank you!).

But really, the instructors make the place. I’m very happy to be here. :) – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (on South St.)

• Mark is charming an inviting. He makes the space feel like a community for that hour. – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (on South St.)

• My yoga 101 instructor (south street) was really welcoming and interested in helping us newbies learn. It was a great experience! Also, the studio was very neat and clean, and the receptionist was also very nice and welcoming. I was nervous to come to my first yoga class ever but the staff made the experience great. – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (on South St.)

• High quality instruction and a modern and beautifully decorated studio. – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (On South St.)

• Competent teachers, positive atmosphere, beautiful space, good staff at desk – Yoga Garden Narberth (On the Main line)

• I like the variety of levels of difficulty. I am returning to my practice after a lapse, and it is so hard to find an all levels class that accessible while also challenging. – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (On South St.)

• The presentation on the studio is so very relaxing together with the reception staff and the instructors. I have only been 3 times and have had a great experience with each class. Thank you – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (On South St.)

• You have a good schedule and I like the classes that I have taken so far – Yoga Garden Narberth (On the Main line)

• Friendly, welcoming, relaxing environment. Teachers are knowledgeable and friendly. There is enough variety within even within the same classes to keep me interested and progressing in my practice. The messages the teachers offer are insightful and relate to life both on and off the mat. Prices are reasonable so I am able to practice as often as I like. I learn something new from each practice and the adjustments and encouragement the instructors offer are helpful and motivating. Very down-to-earth studio and staff, the instructors are very skilled but you will not find any show-offs here. In intermediate classes students are challenged to progress to more difficult poses in very safe way. All around great studio. – Yoga Garden Philadelphia (On South St.)

• I want to let you know how grateful I am for your class. I have been to several retreats and studied Zen for the past nine years. I have never had such comprehensive teaching of meditation before. You are the best. I would love to spend more time with you. – Yoga Garden Narberth (Mindfulness Mediation Class)
