Yoga for Beginners
Have you been wanting to try yoga? This is your chance to learn side-by-side with other beginners. We’ll explore basic postures and techniques to get you started. No matter how flexible you are (or NOT!), and no matter what physical condition you’re in, yoga can help you relieve stress and tone your body. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and try new poses. Everyone is welcome!
You’ll come out of the classes feeling relaxed and ready to make yoga a part of your healthy lifestyle! And when you’re done, we’ll work with you to select teachers and classes at the Yoga Garden that match your needs and abilities.
In this accessible workshop you’ll learn:
• Basic yoga postures
• Breathing techniques to calm the mind and soothe the senses
• Variations on the basic yoga postures so you can adapt the practice to your own needs.
